From 2015. A reminder of the work rescuers do in helping to track down displaced pets. This team heard muffled noises coming from inside a trailer and hurried to find the source. How incredible to discover this cat survived by floating in her litter box. Extraordinary.

This disaster team rescued four cats by boat on the afternoon of December 31, 2015.

In North Carolina, the following video is an overview of how groups come together in a crisis to locate, recover and care for displaced animals. This scenario is an example of the deteriorating site conditions often presenting health challenges to survivors (and rescuers) and showcases the hazards and the teamwork involved in disaster pet rescue efforts: YouTube

Everybody gets a Kitten! Sing along!

“It is a very inconvenient habit of kittens (Alice had once made the remark) that whatever you say to them, they always purr.” - Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There

Put a little 'cheery' in your day. Block the news stream and hum along. After listening a couple of times you'll want to chime in on the chorus. You get to say 'Kitten' ...

Props to Selby and Dan on the cover version ...
